Quilpie State College (est. 1918) is proud of its history, focusing on improving outcomes for students in all areas of schooling. Our school caters for students enrolled in Preparatory to Year 10. Students in Year 11 and 12 have the option of accessing our facilities, technology and staff to engage with distance education studies.
The school aims to provide a learning environment that is responsive and future orientated, through learning programs that equip students for the demands and rigours of a changing world. Our participation in the community and across the district is paramount as we highly value student engagement despite our remote location.
We continue to have an affiliation with the 'Dare to Lead' project which has resulted in our Indigenous students achieving at a level equivalent to or greater than their non-Indigenous peers. Though small, the multi-age classes, involving professional staff and extensive facilities offer students a quality education whilst retaining the values of a family oriented rural school.
