Fascinating Year Nine's

The year nine students were fortunate enough to attend a millinery workshop. This course was organised by the Quilpie Cultural Society and students attended this course as part of their Home Economics/Technology studies.

On the day the students had to design and make a fascinator in the shape of a Magnolia Flower and then attach it to a headband. The outcomes were spectacular! The students found this a fun experience, they enjoyed the shared lunch with the adults attending the course and said it was great to do some learning out of the classroom.
The school would like to thank the instructor, Alison Clark for her patience and assistance with the student’s production of the fascinators. Several of the adults attending the course also commented on how well behaved the students were and they should be congratulated on this.
